My journey as Wendy Punter, writer!
Welcome to my personal story. Discover how a childhood dream evolved into a passion for writing, shaped by a lifetime of diverse experiences. Join me as I share the path that led to Reflections on Life.

What did I want to be....
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” my dad asked one day. I was eleven, about to start secondary school. “I want to be a writer,” I replied. “Hmm,” he said, “You’ll not make any money as a writer.” Of course, he was right – and wrong. Many good writers today are making some or even a lot of money. It’s not easy to make it big in the literary world. Back when I was growing up, it was even harder. So I had to focus on learning a trade in which I could earn my living.

The path less written
I ended up doing office work; I changed jobs as often as some people change their underwear! To give me credit, each change did enhance my skills and enticed me to take some courses to further my expertise. Slowly but surely I followed a path that led to me becoming my own boss and owner of an accounting and tax services business.

Returning to my true calling
By then, writing for pleasure and/or profit was just a pipe dream. However, in the late seventies I ended up living in the Middle East. This journey, and many others, has fuelled my desire to share stories and bring pleasure and entertainment to my readers through my writing.
A lifetime of experiences, a world of stories
I was born in Liverpool, UK in 1942. During my life I have lived in three vastly different countries. With my hubby we have travelled to many diverse places, we owned a travel trailer and RV'ing was a passion for many years. Since 1957 I have been involved with amature theatre; undertaking many diverse roles from Props to Director. I possess an eclectic collection of skills and talents. These rich experiences deeply shape my writing, adding unique perspectives and depth to every piece I create for Reflections on Life.
