A memoir of an era, a period in a young life, a family, a neighbourhood; a taste of life in wartime and post-war Britain.
At a certain age I began the contemplation on how different things are in this day and age, to how they were when I first came into the world. Especially as we have slid into and adjusted to the age of technology. So different that I felt compelled to write about it.
I am particularly proud of my book, even though it contains only three chapters at this time - all be it long chapters! It consists of a collection of memories, all true and designed to take you on a captivating journey. Each chapter offers a unique blend of family profiles, deeply-felt customs and mores that bound a whole nation in a difficult era. Sprinkled with many anecdotes and lighthearted humour, it is crafted to evoke curiosity, surprise, and a strong desire to discover what happens next.
